Brevard County has a rich history of producing exceptional swimmers and divers, and the 2025 season was no exception. Last year, nine schools from the county sent athletes to the FHSAA boys swimming and diving state championships, bringing home an impressive 14 state medals. Among the highlights was Sawyer Davis from Satellite High, who claimed the top spot in the Class 2A 100-yard freestyle, becoming the school's 16th boys state champion and the first since 2013.
Teams to Watch
Satellite High: The Scorpions are riding a wave of success, having achieved one of their best seasons in recent memory. They finished fourth in Class 2A last year, their highest team finish since 2006. With seven state qualifiers returning, including senior Bastian Soto, who medaled in multiple events, Satellite is poised to make a strong impact once again.
Melbourne High: Melbourne tied for 21st in Class 3A last year, but with state medalists Sawyer Hackett and graduate Enzo Widjaja, they have the potential to climb the rankings. Junior Cameran Stewart and sophomore Tyler Hart are also returning state qualifiers, adding depth to the team.

Ethan Arnstein, Bayside: This sophomore made a splash last year, advancing to the Class 3A regionals in four events and collecting four medals at districts. He's one to watch, especially as he anchors the 400 free relay team.
Paul Barbie, Merritt Island: Barbie is the lone returning state qualifier for Merritt Island, having qualified for the Class 2A state diving meet. His scores at regionals and districts were impressive, and he'll be aiming to build on that success this season.
